Ava Cowan, is making moves and getting serious attention in 2011. Ava has graced over 20 magazine covers such as Iron Man, Fitness RX and Status and is in virtually every fitness magazine around the world. She is now competing as an IFBB Figure Pro and has just opened a sports nutrition store called Pro Sports Nutrition located in Delray Beach, Florida.
Replete with brains, beauty and brawn, Cowan gives new meaning to the word hardcore. Her insanely well-proportioned body, vast knowledge of exercise science and inspiring story have led her to become one of the most talked about and sought-after fitness “it” girls in the industry.
Already a certified personal training specialist from the renowned Fitness Institute in Boca Raton, Florida, Ava began to pursue work. Realizing her potential, she decided to turn her passion for a healthy lifestyle into a career and discovered her path as a figure competitor. She was able to harness her rock solid work ethic, knowledge of exercise science, and intense personal passion, to move herself forward at a breakneck pace.
Cowan began claiming titles. In August 2005, she entered the NPC Southern States Figure Championship and won the Overall Figure title. She went on to compete in and win several World Championship Titles. As her trophy cabinet began to swell, Cowan decided to post head shots on a popular modeling website and was an instant hit, landing placements on the pages of the fitness world’s most respected publications and online portals. With thousands of devoted Facebook Fans and Twitter Followers, Cowan is something of a social media phenomenon, gaining momentum with every click.
In 2009 Ava was courted by Gaspari Nutrition a major player in the field of sports nutrition and asked to join their acclaimed Team Gaspari as one of their most highly promoted athletes. Shortly after, Ava competed in the prestigious NPC Nationals where she then won her height class and earned professional status in the IFBB Professional League. She now has her own online mini-series, The Sport of Figure and has become the female face of the newest Gaspari ad campaigns.

Ava just placed 3rd at the prestigious 2011 IFBB Ms. Figure International. Quite a feat being her inaugural Arnold Classic. Ava is now ranked 3rd in the world in Figure. She plans to take on the best in the world once again at the 2011 Figure Olympia at the end of the year. With proven crossover appeal, Cowan is about to take mainstream America by storm.
